OUR COMPANY HAS BEEN OPERATED FOR 100 YEARS SINCE “HOSODA KO STORE” , PRIVATE FIRM, WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1918, AND RE-NAMED HOSODA TRADING CO., LTD, ON FEBRAURY IN 1959. WE HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED AS A SPECIALIZED TRADING
COMPNAY, HANDLING WITH ELECTRONIC/ELECTRICAL PARTS, MACHINES AND RLATED MATERIALS.

WE FACED TRAGIC DOOM, BY LOSING ALL THE OVERSEA FACTORIES AND OFFICES, AS WELL AS IN DOMESTIC OFFICES BY WORLD WAR II. HOWEVER, AFTER THE WAR, WE STRIVED TO REBUILD THE CAOMPNAY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BY CONSOLIDATING THE REMAINING EMPLOYEES AND STRENGTHENED IN SPECIALIZED FILES ON ELECTRONICS/ELECTRINCAL PARTS, MACHINES, STEEL, COPPER AND CHEMICAL MATERIALS, ALONG WITH JAPAN’S RESTART OF TRADE AND INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION, AND LAID THE FOUNDATION AS IT IS.

Hosoda Trading Co. Ltd, was split-off on September, 2018, as specializing on domestic sales for smart meter, by split up to Hosoda Ltd./Hosoda Trading Co., Ltd., due to Hosoda Group reorganizations.

1910
1918
Kozaburo Hosoda, the youngest brother of “Erihan”, Kyoto, established “Hosoda Ko Store”.
Started business, acquiring sales rights for Osaka area, of tungsten filament,
Mallory Corp, of USA.
1919
Acquired exclusive import distributorship from Mallory Corp.

Took first step of “Electrical Hosoda”, expanding business of electrical appliance.
1920
1927
Established “Hosoda Trading Co., Ltd.”
Mr Kozaburo Hosoda became the 1st president.

Started trading business by establishing export division.
Succeeded in export big volume of fans.
1930
1934
Established Thai branch office.
Established “Toa Yakin”, for manufacturing/sales of domestic tungsten filament.
1936
Established Shanghai branch office.
Regular trades were at a standstill, by expanding wars.　
Managed operation of telephone factory, in Shanghai, by corporation with Oki Electric Industry.
All the foreign facilities confiscated after defeat in war.

Re-established the company by Mr Tsukuda, Senior Managing Director.

Transferred “Toa Yakin” to “Nippon Mining”, due to difficulties to obtain raw materials of tungsten filament intervene by Navy .
Started manufacturing/sales of telephone, in Shanghai, with corporation with Oki Electric Industry.
Started manufacturing of electrical cable, battery and communication equipment in Thailand.
1945
Shanghai and Thai branch offices requisitioned after defeat in war.
1946
Mr Tsukuda acceded as the 2nd president
Moved head office to 15-7, Nishitemma 5-Chome, Kita-Ku, Osaka.
Started handling electrical wire and light bulb, and supplying to the Occupation Forces.
1948
Recovered demands by Indian buyers and encouraging priority foreign currency system via re-activation of private trading.
1950
1952
Established Tokyo branch office
Fully in progress for export business of electrical parts/home appliance, general electrical appliance, electrical wire and light bulb.
1954
Agreed contract for export of electrical parts with Argentina leading buyers.

Established sales routes for Middle/South America, by setting agent in Peru, Chile and Venezuela.
1955
Re-established Thai branch office, a pioneer of foreign market bases, expanding to 8 countries.
1959
Started export paint by corporation of Thai agent establishment with Kansai Paint Co., Ltd..

Established “Manila Liaison Office”.
1964
Established “Hong Kong Liaison Office”.
1966
Reorganized "Thai Branch Office" to “Banwa Trading Ltd., Partnership”, local corporate.
1967
Mr Takei acceded as the 3rd President

Established “Taiwan Liaison Office”.
Established a joint venter, “Thai Kansai Paint Co., Ltd”, in Thailand, by with “Kansai Paint Co., Ltd.” and Thai local partner.

Established “Tehran Liaison Office”.

Established a joint venture, “Siam Electric Industry. Co., Ltd”, in Thailand, with “Mitsui & Co”, “Sumitomo Electric Industries” and Thai local partner, for enamel wire manufacturing.
Established a joint venture, “Aiphone USA Inc.”, in USA, as Joint Venture with Aiphone Co., Ltd., American and Canadian local partners, for distributing intercoms in north American market.
1971
Reorganized "Hong Kong Liaison Office" to “Bansei Trading Co., Ltd”, local corporate.
Reorganized "Taiwan Liaison Office" to “Banrock Trading Co. Ltd.”, local corporate.
1972
Established “Singapore Liaison Office”.
1974
Reorganized "Singapore Liaison Office" to “Banshing & Co., (PTE) Ltd.), local corporate.
1977
Sold shared stock of Siam Electric Industry Co. Ltd to “Sumitomo Electric Industries”.
1978
Re-named “Banshing & Co (PTE) Ltd.” to “Hosoda (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.”.

Established a joint venture, “Mahajak International Electric Co. Ltd.” With Fuji Electric Co, “Lucky Gold Star” and Thai local partner for watthour meter manufacturing.

Mr Okada accede as the 4th President.

Started plant export business.

Re-named “Banrock Trading Co., Ltd.” to “Hosoda Taiwan Limited”.
Reformed investors of Aiphone Corporation to two parties, Aiphone Co., Ltd. and Hosoda Trading Co., Ltd..
Closed “Buenos Aires Liaison Office” due to economy situation.

Established a joint venture, “Iwasaki Electric Singapore Pte Ltd”, in Singapore, with “Iwasaki Electric” and Singapore local partner for lighting products distribution.
